Class Pack - Bits + Pieces - Foundation Paper Piecing 101
Foundation Paper Piecing is a popular piecing technique that can be difficult for many to learn on their own, making it a perfect for an in-person class. The Bits + Pieces project was designed as a simple FPP block, repeated over and over, ensuring that students learn the process through repetition.
Bits + Pieces is a demo-style class; students will learn the FPP process as the instructor guides them through the construction of a simple block, step by step. A completed project will not be achieved in the class; students will make several blocks to learn the process, then can choose to complete a finished project at home using the Bits + Pieces pattern (either the pillow or table runner).
Formatting the class in this manner also allows you to charge a higher registration fee – students are learning a brand new skill in a short time period (2-1/2 hours). Charge more for this class than you would for a longer, project-based course.
